Why I WriteBy fixing my stories onto a page, I capture a corner of sustainability in both my work (Listen To The Light: Courage in Recovery) and my life (Listen To The Light: Interruptions, Intersections, and Insight; Listen To The Light: The Daughter’s a Farmer).
Someday my children or grandchildren may notice that I took the time to connect with Sister Mariette Caron and attempted to provide one more miracle for Sister Marie-Catherine's sainthood. They may see that antique bowls explode and that I gained further respect for artifacts. They will understand why I treasured the old folks in my life and the friends I loved. Most of all they will be mindful of what sorts of miracles surface in a lifetime and be ready when they arrive. I challenge all readers willing to inventory the meaningful and miraculous in their lives to write their stories. |
